Kitchen Addition and Custom Home Renovation Project in Acushnet, MA

We recently completed this project in Acushnet, beginning with an addition designed to create a larger, more modern kitchen for the home.

In addition to expanding the kitchen, we added space for a new pantry, bathroom, and laundry room, bringing the homeowner’s vision to life through thoughtful details in every space.

White oak flooring runs throughout the entire first floor, seamlessly tying the existing areas into the new addition. The custom kitchen was designed around both functionality and gathering, featuring a large island perfect for everyday use and entertaining. A dedicated pantry area provides ample storage to meet the homeowner’s needs.

Exposed beams and accent walls in the breezeway and laundry room carry the natural wood tones throughout the home, creating warmth and cohesion. A custom fireplace anchors the living space, tying the kitchen cabinetry into the rest of the room.

The new bathroom continues the modern aesthetic with tile flooring and a custom tile shower complete with a glass panel and door. The laundry room balances modern design with rustic character, featuring shiplap walls and ceiling that complement the natural wood tones found throughout the home.

On the exterior, the goal was simple, make the addition feel like it had always been part of the home. When proportions are done correctly, everything blends naturally. Clean trim and siding details, matching window elements, and a sleek metal roof add a subtle modern touch. The project also included two new decks and a concrete patio area, expanding the outdoor living space.
